Care Instructions

These gloves use full-grain goat leather, which is naturally water-resistant but requires proper care to maintain its performance and longevity. Here’s how to properly clean, dry, condition, and store your gloves:

How to Clean Leather Riding Gloves

  1. Mix a portion of pH-neutral leather cleaner in lukewarm water.

  2. Dampen a microfiber cloth with the mixture and gently wipe the gloves, starting at the wrist and moving toward the fingertips.

    • For mud splatters, let the mud dry first, then remove it with a soft-bristled brush.

  3. Rinse the cloth often and repeat on both sides of the gloves.

  4. Avoid: Hot water, solvents, fabric softeners, chemical cleaners, washing machines, or high-pressure devices.

How to Dry Wet Riding Gloves

  1. Press the gloves gently with an absorbent towel to remove excess water.

  2. Allow the gloves to air dry slowly indoors, away from direct sunlight and heat sources (radiators, blow dryers).

  3. While drying, periodically wear the gloves to retain their shape and flexibility.

  4. Before completely dry, shape the gloves to your hand for a natural fit.

How to Condition Leather Riding Gloves

  1. Once completely dry, apply a high-quality leather conditioner to keep the leather breathable and supple.

  2. Rub the conditioner into the leather and allow it to absorb fully.

  3. Wipe off any excess and ensure the gloves maintain proper grip.

How to Store Riding Gloves

  • Ensure gloves are completely dry before storing.

  • Store in a breathable cotton bag to protect from dust and allow ventilation.

  • Place in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area to prevent mildew and deformation.
